blogging days

Oh how I wish I could blog for a living. I always seem to have something to babble on and on about. However, I'm HARDLY going to be able to do this with 4 followers (and 4 great and devoted followers you are!!) I read all these blogs with giveaways and moms that try things free if they review the product. I mean, come on now!! I have a nifty little netbook that I could carry around with me. Traveling, sipping my starbucks and blogging for the day and then living the life the rest of the time. What about the 4 years I spent in nursing school? Would I throw that all away to have a career as a fancy blogger? You bet your blogtails I would!
So, it appears that uh-oh was Sethie's first word. His second word is Mocha. Only, it sounds like "coke-a" when he says it. Adorable, I know. We won't talk about how he doesn't say MAMA.  I mean, is Mocha really ALL that and some salt and peppa chips?! Obviously. She does have 2 more legs than I do.But still. Mom followers, you know what I'm getting at. It urks me. I'm ready for him to adoringly call me in the mornings from his crib. Or in the car, or the highchair. Wherever it may be, I'm ready for it. I mean, the kid is practically walking already!
Our house has had this nasty summer cold for the past week. I'm the last one to get it and feeling rather snotty today. (my bad) I mean, I'm glad I'm the last to get it but nothing makes you feel worse than a cold in the summer months. It's so hot it's hard to breathe anyways! In fact, my Lizzie's (bug) thermostat in the car was 102 today. That's Farenheit folks. So, it's doubley hard to breathe around here. Not to mention that my patients are all looking at me like I should be at home because my cough is so nasty.
I'm looking forward to the week off, but it's going to be busy.

Bloghugs!

About Me

My photo
Welcome to my blog. It's a dedicated place for my book reviews, criticism, and love of all things bookish. I am a mom of 4 busy kids that uses reading as my, "thing." I find that reading books turns off all (okay, mostly all?) of the noise of my world and lets me get away for a bit. Reading helps me escape the reality of the piles of laundry that will never be done, the dust bunnies that I swear will one day grow legs, and the emails and outlook calendar that occupy my life Monday- Friday during working hours. Reading is therapy for me and always has been. I've always been a big dork, introverted, creative, and reflective. If I won the lottery tomorrow, I'd probably open up a used bookstore with my standard poodle somewhere on the side of the mountain and surround myself by others who enjoy passing their time reading. Until then, I'll keep on keeping on. And, I'll settle for reading when I can. Which, I try to fit in as much as possible. Cheers to your busy life and mine, doing the best we can, as often as we can.
