things fun, artsy, fartsy and colorwhacked

dear google,
why do you have to have the IMAGE search option? Don't you know that it only causes me to wish wish wish for things and dream of colors, fluffy pillow, shabby chic, fun wallpaper, funky mirrors, recycled goods, and cozy places ?? Don't you know that when I'm bored, I can type a word like freebird and search images and just skim through fun pics? Oh, and please...I must mention the fact that I love searching for things like colorful, art, vintage, and tattoos to see what the latest and greatest are.
Please keep it coming, I love the soul-spiration.
Sincerely,
The Kimster.

Okay,
I just need y'all to know that what had happend wassssss
I was bored at work and wanted to dream a bit with my eyes open.
So, I searched for fun things, and have sent the pics to my blog below. You'll see retro outdoor furniture that I want- the metal funky chairs that can be painted in wild colors. The fun silver wallpaper that will go with anything on only be cooler if it begins to peel off the wall. Fiestaware is gorgeous no matter where it's displayed and IT MUST BE DISPLAYED. And, I totally want mismatched fiestaware everything. (partly inspired by my buddy Macy's cute display of her fiestaware.) Let's see, in the search for creative headboard ideas I found a hanging tapestry that is as cute as can be. I may steal that idea since it's cheap and friggin gorgeous. Plus, it's super easy to make! I mean, curtain rod plus rad fabric from anywhere = amazing. Wonder if the hubby will go for it? He is pretty laid back about stuff like that!!  I'll have to do some bargain hunting :)
Anyways, happy looking. I really really enjoyed putting up some cute ideas and pardy things for y'all to look at and get an eyeful.
Good morning and good day to all.
~Kimmie

About Me

My photo
Welcome to my blog. It's a dedicated place for my book reviews, criticism, and love of all things bookish. I am a mom of 4 busy kids that uses reading as my, "thing." I find that reading books turns off all (okay, mostly all?) of the noise of my world and lets me get away for a bit. Reading helps me escape the reality of the piles of laundry that will never be done, the dust bunnies that I swear will one day grow legs, and the emails and outlook calendar that occupy my life Monday- Friday during working hours. Reading is therapy for me and always has been. I've always been a big dork, introverted, creative, and reflective. If I won the lottery tomorrow, I'd probably open up a used bookstore with my standard poodle somewhere on the side of the mountain and surround myself by others who enjoy passing their time reading. Until then, I'll keep on keeping on. And, I'll settle for reading when I can. Which, I try to fit in as much as possible. Cheers to your busy life and mine, doing the best we can, as often as we can.
